TRC Liberia releases Final Report

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Liberia (TRC) presented its final report containing findings and recommendations to the national legislature. It addresses the root causes of the conflict, the impact of the conflict on women, children, the responsibility for massive and gross human rights violations, violations of international humanitarian law and domestic law. The two volumes of the report can be found here

The TRC Report specifically recommends the creation of an “Extraordinary Criminal Tribunal for Liberia” (Vol. II, page 268) and recommends the prosecution of all the leaders of the warring factions in the civil war (Vol. II, page 268).

  1. when you people giving your final report? I whant for the war cream court to be in liberia for those that kill the liberian people should be sent to Justics, if the Liberian president is in this same issues let her be send to court too.
